Hi Sysifos,
it's quiet simple to use the player in an article. The Joomla! Core comes with a plugin called "
Load Module Positions". Make sure to activate it under
Extensions>Plugin Manager. The plugin allows you to choose the general layout like tables or div's. I recommend to use "
No wrapping (raw output)" and to style the rest in the article itself.
After that you should
copy the "
Simple MP3 Player" module under
Extensions>Module Manager and give it a modul position like "mymusic", for example. It's not necessary, that this module position really exists in your xml file. You can simply type it manually into "Position". At least you have to enable the module.
Now go to the article where you want to display the player. Insert
{loadposition mymusic}
(mymusic is just an example) at the position, you want the player to be displayed. That's all. Remember - you can copy the module as often as you want to. So it's possible to have an unlimited number of players in your content articles. You can do this with any module you like to.
Best regards... Michael for medienstroeme
Thanks for the quick reply.
I always had this in mind, but there is a problem..
I have been building a web site with several categories and sections, trying to provide a catalog for most important musics and composers. You will find Bach, Mozart, Schubert and many many others. In every article for every single composer, i will be posting several articles. So I want to able to add a track, relevant to the specified article.
Unfortunatelly, Simple MP3 Player works as a module, so I cannot do that. In contrast to 1PixelOut, where i can define that in a Mozart article I can add [Mozart1.mp3] file (or maybe [Mozart1.mp3] and a few lines below i can have [Mozart2.mp3]) this is not possible with Simple Mp3, since I must have already defined the files to be played..
I hope you can understand my point.. Please consider having a plugin functionality in the future releases. Then you would have the best tool ever...
